JEE Mains and JEE Advance: 1 exam from 2015

2015 will come easy for engineering students as the All central government-funded engineering schools, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), will choose students through a common entrance examination in 2015. JEE Mains and JEE advance which are two separate exams will be merged from next year HR ministry has decided. IITs across India have already been informed about it.

IIT JEE 2015 – Merger of JEE Main and JEE Advanced!

- The decision of merging JEE Main 2015 and JEE Advanced 2015 has been scrapped. JEE Advanced 2015 committe has cleared the air by releasing JEE Advanced 2015 Exam Schedule and related information on its official website.

According to the report released in July from HRD Ministry, the existing two-tier entrance exam (JEE) was planned to be converted into a common test from 2015. Candidates were hinted merger of JEE Main and JEE Advanced for admission to all the centrally-funded engineering schools like CFTIs, NITs and IITs. According to the Higher Education Secretary, Ashok Thakur, IITs have been informed of this merger.

CBSE releases notification for AIPMT 2015

The All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination - 2015 is set to be conducted, except in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, as per the latest information released by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

In view of requests from various candidates/parents as well as schools, the date of online submission of application form of JEE (Main) – 2015 and uploading of images has been extended up to 26.12.2014 (11.59 PM). The fee may be paid by the candidates through credit/debit card up to 27.12.2014 (11.59 PM) & through e-challan up to 27.12.2014 (up to working hours of the banks). It is further informed that the other terms and conditions for filling up the application form will remain same.

AIPMT – 2015

In compliance with the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi would be conducting the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test, for the academic session 2015-16. This entrance test is being conducted for the 15% merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directives of the Supreme Court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from time to time.

There are also State Governments/Universities/Institutions voluntarily participating in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test - 2015 for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control.

Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
